All naughty children will be exterminated at the Birmingham Alexandra starting on Monday next week, when that most famous blue police box The Tardis carries in Dr Who for a week of "state-of-the-art" theatre.
Jon Pertwee plays Doctor Who, battling against the Daleks and the Cybermen in an adventure that calls on officials of Number 10 Downing Street and the American vice-president to help save the universe from destruction by a series of alien creatures.
The incredibly successful TV series celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. In a run until Saturday, it is written by Terence Dicks - who wrote the TV series - and incorporates an impressive range of new lasers, video and computer techniques to recreate a supernatural atmosphere for this, the show's first theatre production.
