[edit]

Now running in England is a children's color science-fiction movie called "Dr. Who and the Daleks," based on a popular TV series. That is not Dr. Who nor his staff in the background above, but tolerant passers-by. They are watching a Dalek parade, staged recently by a theater in Oxford, famed for its university. Two child-powered Daleks precede the stern steel monster. Gravel-voiced Daleks are evil, and their antagonists are what a London critic recently described as "virtuous, doe-eyed Thals." The supposedly comic film's moral, the critic said, "is that those who want peace should be the first to attack." Incidentally, color TV will not hit the British Isles until 1967.
