A new science fiction film entitled "Dr. Who and the Daleks," based on the popular BBC TV serial, is now in production at Shepperton Studios.
Principal roles will be played by Peter Cushing, Roy Castle and Jennie Linden.
"We have taken Terry Nation's first seven episodes of the television serial." says co-producer Milton Subotsky, "and have re-written them into a screenplay, at the same time injecting a considerable amount of comedy.
"We intend to make full use of the colour, spectacle and action that marks the difference between the large and small screen entertainment."
Several Shepperton stages are taking on the look of planets in outer space. "H" stage - the largest in Europe - houses the vast petrified jungle set, while another is the colourful and fascinating all-metal Dalek City.
