Peter Davison picks up where Tom Baker leaves off on "Doctor Who" at 5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, on Mississippi ETV.
"Castrovalva," the first of Davison's serials as the BBC's intergalactic space traveler, can be seen on the 11th, followed at 5 p.m. on subsequent Saturdays with all of his other adventures. The last several Davison stories have never been seen on Mississippi ETV, and they are tentatively expected to be ready for the air in the state later in the year.
Included in Davison's encore broadcast is "The Five Doctors," 90-minute "Doctor Who" 20th anniversary drama, which also will air later in the fall. "The Five Doctors" was first seen on Mississippi ETV on November 23, 1983, 20 years to the day since "Doctor Who" premiered in England.
"Doctor Who" episodes starring Tom Baker as the Doctor continue to be telecast at 10:30, week nights, on Mississippi ETV.
