Dr. Who?
Yes, Doctor Who, that television wizard of science fiction, is responsible for the mobile theater that will be in Magnolia Mall Dec. 6 and 7.
The 23-year-old show, featuring the adventures of the good Doctor, is seen on PBS stations and is the longest running science fiction series in TV history.
The 48-foot trailer will feature all the famous monsters and villains of the show, brought to "life" with special effects.
Visitors enter the exhibit, a real "experience theater on wheels," through the Doctor's time-travel craft TARDIS — forever locke into the shape of an old English police call box.
"The idea was to create a unique' experience using all the original pieces that we could present to fans throughout America. We also hope to expand the audience by presenting an exciting attraction even for people who have never heard of the show," said Brian Sloman, who brought the idea to reality.
An exclusive range of "Doctor Who U.S.A. Tour" merchandise will be sold outside the trailer.
The exhibit is on a two-year tour of 180 cities across the nation.
