[edit]

Fans of the British Broadcasting Company's long-running "Doctor Who" science fiction program, broadcast locally over WVIA-TV, Channel 44, will get a chance to see a set and some recreations of the show in this area next week.

The Doctor Who U.S.A. Tour, a 48-foot trailer featuring a set from the show along with figures representing many of the characters that have appeared on the series, will be at two regional shopping malls.

The schedule is June 24 and 25 at Wyoming Valley Mall Wilkes-Barre, and June 26 and 27 at Viewmont Mall, Scranton.

Some of the displays are Doctor Who's time traveling device in the shape of a British police call box, and Bessie, the car that has helped the sleuth "save the earth" many times over.
