THE 'WHO', event of the year will be art WTCI-TV, Channel 45 today and Thursday from 3 to 9 p.m. The "Doctor Who Celebration and Tour" will feature a 48-foot long mobile exhibition of the show's most famous monsters and villains with special effect animation, lighting and sound. Also appearing will be veteran British actor Jon Pertwee, the third Doctor.
Visitors will enter the mobile exhibit by walking through a TARDIS, the Doctor's time traveling craft forever locked into the shape of an old English police call box. They can see a mockup of the ship's control panel before entering into an illusion of space within which the figures are displayed.
Doctor Partwee will host question and answer sessions at the station as well as sign autoghraphs. Partwee, who portrayed the Doctor from 1970 to 1975, will be reunited with 'Bessie' the magnificent yellow vintage car built on a 1953 Ford popular chassis, which was made exclusively for Pertwee.
