Mondays through Friday, December 8 to 12, at 10:30 P.M. and Sundays at 11:00 P.M.
Jon Pertwee is back as the good Doctor Who and Channel 11 celebrates his return with a Dr. Who Fest the second week in December followed by more Jon Pertwee episodes on the regular Sunday night time slot.
Pertwee is the third of the six famous Doctors and one of the most popular. (The others: William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker, John Davison, and Colin Baker — no relation to Tom.)
Engaging, bright, and nattily dressed in his trademark Victorian velveteen jacket, the curly-haired Pertwee travels through time and space sorting out galactic problems and battling monsters in the name of justice and truth for living beings everywhere.
In real life, Pertwee is known as "the man with a thousand voices." His range of accents and voice pitch is remarkable. In the series and off, Pertwee has a gusto for life. He races motorcycles and hydroplanes, drives fast cars, and is an exhibition water-skier. His favorite hobby is scuba diving and he has discovered lost cities under the Adriatic and searched for lost treasures off the coast of Spain. On camera, he battles chaos-creating Autons, reptilian Silurians, and the ruthless egomaniac Professor Stahlman.
