[edit]

PLANT biology students from Aberystwyth have accused Doctor Who of being in a timewarp.

In a recent episode, the world woke up one morning to find the entire planet covered in trees, prompting the Doctor to declare: "Sadly, trees have no moving parts and they don't communicate."

Biology students at IBERS, Aberystwyth, begged to differ, having found that trees can literally shake insects from their leaves.

IBERS lecturer Dr John Warren said: "In the future, we suggest Dr Who looks as closely at trees, as IBERS students do at Dr Who!"
