If you want to get a hit get a double act -- and that applies to pop music and TV shows.
The latest crop of dynamic duos to demonstrate that two talents are better than one are cliff Richard and Elton John and Colin Baker and bonnie Langford.
Cliff and Elton above pooled their vocal resources at the Hippodrome Club in London to make a video for Channel 4 television of their new record Slow Rivers Run Cold.
Elton was just back from America, after a sellout tour and that proved his huge popularity is there after nearly 30 years in the business -- a milestone that's just a memory for Cliff.
Another star who defies the march of time, Dr. Who, has a new assistant, singer dancer and actress Bonnie Langford (right).
Bonnie joins Dr. Who, played by Colin Baker, on Saturday week's episode of the BBC TV series. The time-travelling assistant Melanie, is into aerobics, muesli and carrot juice.
Bonnie isn't, but claims she is good at screaming: "What do we do next, doctor?" That's the main requirement for the job of a Dr. Who assistant, the 20th since the character was created.
