DOCTOR Who lookalike Tom Walker needs a Tardis to escape mobs of fans.
The 23-year-old barman is a dead ringer for actor Matt Smith, 27.
Tom said: "When I first saw a picture of Matt Smith I got a bit freaked out. The resemblance is horribly similar.
"When my friends found out they said I'm his double and jokingly asked me for my autograph. It was funny at first, but since Matt appeared on TV I've been inundated with text messages and emails. Now people are stopping me in the street."
Tom, from Newcastle upon Tyne, is not a fan of the show and has never watched a full episode. But as soon as he saw the new telly doc he recognised his own features.
He added: "I didn't realise then quite what an impact it was going to have."
