I SUPPOSE it's too much to ask for strange monsters to infest Saxon England but its a great pity there aren't some to liven up Dr. Who. Those Vikings and Saxons created by Dennis Spooner are as fierce as buttermilk and could never have attacked/defended a village. But the monk, played by Peter Butterworth, is an interesting and amusing creation.
