Cancer charities in Walsall are £840 richer thanks to the super-human efforts of the town's Dr Who group.
Keen tans left the Tardis time travel machine behind to march the nine miles from Walsall to Sutton Cold fleld to raise the cash.
Organiser Simon Horton, pictured with a Dalek friend, said: "Those of us who walked were amazed when we realised we had raised the money - we only expected to get £200."
Two £420 cheques were handed over at Walsall's Manor Hospital.
Jo Stackhouse from the town's Mastectomy and Breast Cancer Group received one and Gwynneth Allen from Cancer Re. search the other.
The cheque has helped Walsall's Mastectomy and Breast Cancer Group reach £36,000 in their appeal for a chemotherapy unit at the hospital.
Now Dr Who enthusiasts are planning further fundraising events during the summer to help Walsall charities.
