Come this Fall, we bid a fond farewell to our Sunday night hero, Tom Baker, as the irreverent and unflappable Doctor Who.
But wait—there seems to be some cell regeneration going on here. The floppy Fedora and endless scarf are making way for a red-and-white striped Victorian cricket outfit. Yes, Whovians, Peter Davison is coming to Channel 9.
After lengthy talks at the bargaining table, the word is official. Channel 9 has secured the rights to Peter Davison and Jon Pertwee episodes of Doctor Who. The Davison series will start sometime in September.
In the meantime, Tom Baker and K-9 will continue fighting bad guys, keeping the universe safe for democracy.
