Mrs. PATRICIA CLARK, Lockharts Paddock, Waddington, Lincoln, writes:
AFTER eleven years of living in a bungalow named "Tardis," we are getting rather tired of "Dr Who" type quips. However, we have now been told that the name could be "something Greek" and meaning something nice.
As you can see, it's not very explicit, but is there any truth in it—or do I have to spend the rest of my life in a police box?
'Fraid we don't know of any Greek connection to the name, Pat, though we must confess we are somewhat less than fluent in that language.
And our own little sail horror, George, tells us that Dr Who's Tardis is an acronym standing for Time and Relative Dimension In Space.
So stand by for lift-off!
