SINCE they put the swishing sex life into Batman. no hero is safe.

Now Dr Who is about to be given God knows what length of libido by rough, tough American actor. Donald Sutherland, who will play the good doctor. gone bad. as a hard-drinking womaniser. The producers of the £20 million movie. which promises to do for Who what Keaton and Nicholson did for the Caned Crusader, claim they -want to take Dr Who into the 90s — it's ridiculous that the doctor would spend so much time with his female assistant without getting emotionally involved- Surely the glory of Who, who's been frigid since the Ice Age, is that the last thing he needs is assistance from his button-pushing little side-kick. In his time, of which he is Lord, Dr Who has shifted centuries and shuffled moons.

The fact that he lives like a monk in his chaste tardis only adds to his sexual mystique. Women, who're convinced he could literally make the earth move for them, love fantasising about what Who could do if he put his great mind and body to it.
