INSTANT stardom can have many benefits, as the new Doctor Who is having fun finding out.
After being on our screens as the 11th Time Lord for just a few weeks, Matt Smith has a famous girlfriend. The 27-year-old actor is dating Daisy Lowe, one of Britain's most successful models, who will shortly make her debut on the cover of Vogue magazine. Smith and 21-year-old Miss Lowe's fledgling relationship was clear when they were pictured hand-in-hand at a music event.
Witnesses at the Coachella Festival in California said they also shared a passionate kiss during a performance by British band Hot Chip. One source revealed: 'Matt didn't want to leave Daisy's side.'
The couple have been dating for 'a short time', said one friend.
Another added: 'They're both young, single people having fun together.' The news puts paid to speculation of romance between Smith and his screen side-kick Karen Gillan, 22.
