It's only days now until the BFI & Radio Times Television Festival begins at London's Southbank on Friday 7 April, with exciting new names still being added to the schedule. For our Doctor Who event on Sunday 9 April, the Doctor himself, Peter Capaldi (below), has just confirmed he will be on the panel, with the Doctor's new companion, Pearl Mackie, and executive producer Brian Minchin, to discuss his time in the Tardis and share exclusive sneak peeks of the forthcoming series.
50 YEARS FREE
Doctor Who and Sherlock stalwart Mark Gatiss will also be on hand at the festival on Sunday 9 April to talk about a new project (and so much else), in conversation with TV editor Alison Graham. Gatiss is overseeing a series of eight specially commissioned short dramas from writers new to TV to mark 50 years since the law was passed exempting gay men from prosecution - in England and Wales, at least. The dramas, made in conjunction with the Old Vic Theatre, will air on BBC4.
