IN TRUE Time Lord style, the Blackpool Dr Who Appreciation Society has undergone a cosmic personality change...
Celebrations of its first birthday have coincided with a new meeting place, another fun competition and even a change of name.
Now known as the Blackpool Time-Travellers, the group is planning to boldly go into a new area of science fiction fantasy, not to say split infinitives.
It has launched a warp-drive to wider its appeal. putting the likes of "Star Trek" and "Blake's 7" on its agenda.
The steadily growing society will meet in the Strand Restaurant on the Promenade on the first Saturday of each month, starting on Stardate February 7 at what we Earthlings know as 2pm.
Guest speakers have been lined up
The competition is to design a logo for Blackpool Time-Travellers in black and white or colour, and on paper no larger than A4- size.
Entries, marked logo competition, should be sent to Blackpool Time Travellers, c/o 43 Red Bank Road, Bispham. Winners will be announced in March.
