Who's a Whovian? Suzanne Law of Oak Forest, that's who.

Law has been following the Doctor Who science fic. icon TV series for more than 20 years.

"I never miss it." she says. "It's not always easy to find on the television. Channel 11 (WTTW) keeps moving it round."

"It has great writing," she says, explaining her enthusiasm. "Douglas Adams, a very famous fiction writer, has written some of the scripts. The characters are incredibly interesting."

Law isn't disturbed by the fact seven actors have portrayed the two-hearted doctor from the planet Gallifrey for the past 25 years

In her opinion, each new actor brings a different twist to the personality of the "Time Lord,' who travels back" ward and forward through time and galaxies in what appears to be a London Police Call Box.

"His time machine, Tardis, is somewhat faulty. He often winds up in places he didn't plan to be," Law acknowledges.

While she doesn't own a lot of "Who-orabilia," Law made herself a Doctor Who T-shirt and treasures a Christmas gift, the book, "Doctor Who — 25 Glorious Years."

Recently, Law learned her devotion to the good doctor is shared by more than a few.

"I joined the Whovian Fan Club when 1 realized there had been a Doctor Who convention in Chicago and I missed it," she explains. "1 really felt bad about that, and I figured if I joined a club, I would at least know what (or "Who") was going on,"

Not that Law didn't have some reservations about hanging around with people who idolize a 750-year-old scientist draped in a 15-foot knitted scarf,

"I thought 'If they are too weird, I'll just quit.' But as it happened, I love talking to them."
