MADISON—Nature is WHA-TV's most popular programming, but it's most popular program focuses on a Gallafrian time lord in quest of the perfect escape from the trials and tribulations of his misguided journeys through time and space.

If that last bit didn't make sense, you're obviously not a Whovian. A Whatian? A Whovian, as in fan—we're talking fanatic—of "Dr Who," the most popular arid longest running science fiction program in the world.

WHA-TV broadcasts the Doctor's adventures each Sunday afternoon, and up to 50,000 people tune in.

But they're not alone in their allegiance to the Doctor and his many and varied sidekicks—including K-9, the robot dog. An estimated 100 million people in 80 countries watch the British Broadcasting Co. show each week.

"Dr Who" follows the Doctor and company as they search for a vacation spot in their TARDIS, an amazing—though often errant—vehicle that travels through time and space. Time and again, their journeys bring them face to face with the villains of the universe.

Whovians who catch their favorite Doctor on WHA-TV will be happy to know of plans for a festival in March, "The Unreleased Dr. Who." Nine previously lost episodes of the program, never before seen in the United States, will be shown during the festival.
