THE Tardis wasn't needed to make two characters appear for a Dr Who convention at the weekend.
The Crawley and East Grinstead Dr Who Group took a blast to the past when It held its third convention at Crawley College.
More than 80 Whovians turned up to meet Katy Manning, who played Jo Grant with Jon Pertwee from 1971 to 1973, and Richard Franklin, who played Captain Mike Yates.
Both were interviewed in front of the audience.
There was also an autograph auction and raffle which raised £185 which will be shared between The Alzheimer's Disease Society and The Sunshine Variety Club.
Organiser Steve Bennett said: "This event was really successful — the best we've had yet. It was a real privilege to have Katy with us as she has lived in Australia since 1982."
