COLIN BAKER kept fans entertained with tales of how the Dr Who programmes are made, when he dropped into Bournemouth.
And he chose The Master and the Daleks as his favourite enemies.
"The Daleks are turned up pepper pots with warts on the side and a sink plunger in front," he said.
Colin agrees the Daleks are frightening and recalls an occasion when one terrified him.
He said: "I was alone in the studio and as I walked across I saw there were four of five of the Daleks sitting there. And one of the plungers was following me as I walked.
"I didn't know the man who works them had come back and was testing them. It sent a terrible shiver down my back."
When he arrived in Bournemouth Colin shed his technicolour Dr Who image and slipped into some casual wear from Marks and Spencer where he was opening the new menswear department in Commercial Road.
Colin is currently appearing in Death Trap in Brighton.
