LOS ANGELES --"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" regular Anthony Stewart Head, who plays the watcher Giles on the series, has been approached to play the Master in a future "Doctor Who" story, according to Scifi.com. An evil time lord, the Master is the lead character's arch nemesis.

"Dr. Who," a popular long-running British science fiction series, is being made into a series of audio adventures by Big Finish Productions. Head is understood to be considering the offer seriously.

Head may also star in a "Bully" spin-off from the show's creator Joss Whedon. Early last month, Marti Noxon, "Bully's" co-executive producer, said Whedon was in talks with the BBC for a limited series centered on the character of Giles.
