THE trailer for the 12th series of Doctor Who may have just been released, but work is already well underway for series 13.

Fans have been treated to a smattering for teasers from the new series, which sees Jodie Whittaker's Doctor joined by companions Bradley Walsh, Mandip Gill, and Tosin Cole, inset.

While the new series is due to air in early 2020, series showrunner and head writer Chris Chibnall said the wheels are 'very much in motion' for series 13.

Speaking to the Radio Times, he said he and his team are already plotting ideas and storylines for where to take the Doctor and her friends in 2021 and beyond.
