[edit]

DR WHO fans have a chance today to buy a unique piece of television history when costumes and props from the show go on sale.

The auction, at Bonham's in Knightsbridge, London, is expected to raise £100,000 for the BBC.

But Jon Pertwee, who played Dr Who for five years, said it was "idiotic" to get rid of the props.
