[edit]

DOESN'T time fly? It seems like only five minutes ago we were trumpeting the return of the Timelord and now we're at the final episode.

Over the series, he's battled Daleks. the Autons, the Slitheen, zombie kids. and even a deranged robotic Anne Robinson - and most of it has even managed to look half decent, not an eggbox in sight.

But this week things have taken a turn for the worse particularly if you happen to live on a little place called Earth - when our planet is plunged into an all-out war. The human race is being slaughtered and only the Doctor has the power to stop it.

But his actions put his friendship with companion Rose Tyler on the line. Is this the end of the time-travelling duo? Will they ever meet again? As Christopher Eccleston has bowed out as the Timelord, this episode also sees his last turn as the Doctor.

Still, at least we've got our own time machine so we can see it all again. Its name?

We call it a video.
