Area Time Lords will converge on N.C. State Saturday and Sunday for a Doctor Who Convention.

Fans of the British science fiction series "Doctor Who" will have a chance to see films featuring all five Doctors (as portrayed by actors William Hartnell, Patrick Troughton, Jon Pertwee, Tom Baker and Peter Davison). Different films will be shown each day, but the three films most requested by preregistered participants will be shown both days — "The Three Doctors" (featuring the first three Doctors), "An Unearthly Child" (with William Hartnell, the first Doctor) and "The Krotons" (with Patrick Troughton).

In addition to the films, there will be role-playing and games both days, and a trivia contest and costume call on Saturday. The lineup for the costume contest will be at 7:30 p.m. Contestants may dress up as a fantasy character, any of the five Doctors or any character from the series, including the Master.

Registration starts Saturday at 10:30 a.m, and the films begin at 11:30 a.m. Activities continue through 10 p.m. Sunday's hours are from 2 p.m. to 10 p.m. All activities will be in the N.C. State Student Center and are free.

The convention is sponsored by the Guardians of Time and Light and the Friends of Doctor Who. These Who enthusiasts also can give you information about next weekend's Doctor Who Convention in Chicago. Just ask anyone wearing a white badge.
