OOO-oooh-oooh! Quick, hop behind your sofas, that was the Dr Who theme. Couldn't you tell? The reason for that high-pitched wailing, which appears to have attracted various neighbourhood dogs, is that a massive Dr Who exhibition opened in Wales at the weekend.

It was, lest one forget, the longest-running sci-fi series in the world. Having the novel idea that the main character could renew himself every couple of years when the actor had had enough was a masterstroke.

The exhibition features loads of Who memorabilia and shows how Who products are made. Exhibits include Cybermen, Tom Baker's scarf, a Dalek but probably not any early sixties sofas behind which youngsters cowered.

Of course, Who fans will know that Steven Spielberg is making a version of the programme with Eric Idle as the good Doctor.

The exhibition runs in Llangollen for a couple of years so there's no hurry.
