A Time Lord, a clutch of detectives, a delivery of midwives - and a hunky vicar on a motorbike...

Last year, Jodie Whittaker's debut series as the 13th Doctor saw the show achieve its highest viewing figures in almost a decade. Though we haven't seen her since the New Year's Day special introduced her to the Daleks, Who fans can rest assured that the wait is almost over — though no date is confirmed, the Doctor and her companions Graham (Bradley Walsh), Ryan (Tosin Cole) and Yaz (Mandip Gill) will soon be steering the Tardis back into our terrestrial orbit for a 12th series.

All we know is that the Judoon (the spacesuit-clad rhinos) will be on the Doctor's radar — showrunner Chris Chibnall has teased that their return is just "one of many treats we've got in store". With Daleks spotted filming on Bristol's Clifton Suspension Bridge in October, it seems we have a lot to look forward to...
