A misunderstanding

[edit]

In response to the well-considered and flattering interview with me (The Return Of A Science Fiction Great - Oct. 19), I wish I could return nothing but great thanks. However, just in case I might someday want to return to radio or TV performance, I want to clear up a misunderstanding.

I did not walk out on any taping of the "Undoctor" pieces I used to do following Dr. Who on TVOntario. What I walked out on was a script for TVO's Vista series, when I felt the content had shifted too far from my original concept. But quit in the middle of a performance? Never.

I should also mention that the title of my new short story collection is actually Daughters of Earth, although Daughters of Time might have been more interesting, eh?
