[edit]

IT'S a slimy blob and, says Dr Who, its intention is "to conquer and enslave as much of the universe as it can get its grubby little protruberances on."

Jeremy Beadle? Oddly enough, no. Sylvester McCoy is the latest Doctor to be grabbed by the Daleks.

Which explains why his eyes are watering.

But great as it is to see our little tin friends from bygone years, I can't help feeling the Daleks' day is over. Compared with today's telly special effects, Dusty Bins with knobs on are rather dull.

Maybe the Doctor could tackle Jeremy Weasel after all.

Though whether he could get his mouth around a long word like exterminate is doubtful.
