Welcome to our kids' page. Over the coming months we'll have great features and competitions. But first, what is the Galaxy Club?

WELCOME to the great Galaxy Club page. If you're a Galaxy Club fan then you'll find our regular features out of this world! Galaxy Club is the name given to the hours of children's programmes shown on the Galaxy channel each week.

There are programmes especially made for kids — from tots to teens, with old favourites like Doctor Who and exciting new shows like The Satellite Game.

During the week the Galaxy Club runs from 7.00 to 8.30 in the morning and then from 3.30pm to 6.00pm. And at the weekends the Club runs all day — from 7.00am to 6.00pm!

Watch out for the special Club characters (pictured at the start of this page) who introduce each Galaxy Club segment and get up to all sorts of adventures as they do so.

There are plenty of exciting new programmes. Look out for Kids' Court at the weekend when kids get the chance to air their grievances in front of a judge and jury made up of other youngsters.

Have three hours of fun with the Cool Cube every Saturday from 2.00pm to 5.00pm. It features topical location reports, star interviews and reviews. You can ring up, write in or even send your comments on a fax machine!

Included in Cool Cube is The Satellite Game, a terrific computer adventure game in which contestants have to pit their wits against an alien satellite threatening to blow up the earth.

During the week you can catch up with Mix-It, a blend of cartoons, games, film reviews and news reports, on twice a day.

But as well as new programmes there are plenty of great old ones too. Doctor Who is back, with the Galaxy Club showing the time traveller's adventures in time order, starting with the very earliest black and white episodes.

And also there's a chance to see the early episodes of the popular BBC series Grange Hill.

To find out what's happening on the Galaxy Club you can tune in to your own programme — The Galaxy Club Show screened every Saturday morning. Presenter James Lovell and Gem the Robot host the three hour show from the asteroid XC90.

They'll tell you what programmes to look out for and read out your letters.

And for more news on Galaxy Club programmes, interviews with your favourite stars and exciting competitions with lots of wicked prizes turn to the Galaxy Club page right here in BSB TV Month.
