Wendy Weidman agreed with our Cheer [February 13] about bringing in a new Doctor on Doctor Who once Peter Capaldi exits the series later this year, and she even named some of her personal frontrunners for the role. "I am excited about seeing a new Doctor soon, and I have a couple suggestions for the part," Weidman wrote. "Even though they are both pretty popular on their current shows, how about Tom Ellis (Lucifer) or Tom Mison (Sleepy Hollow)? Mison might bring some of Jon Pertwee's gracefulness and sophistication, and Ellis might bring quick wit and fun like David Tennant. I would be thrilled with either!" At least one is unlikely: Fox recently renewed Lucifer for a third season with Ellis.
