[edit]

The timing of the sad death of brilliant character actor Jon Pertwee has been uncanny. with the BBC showing the new feature length Dr Who starring Paul McGann on Bank Holiday Monday. This ultimate regeneration proves the maxim about life imitating art.

In the numerous obituaries for Pertwee there have been many mentions of the BBC's screening, a week to the day after Pertwee died. To paraphrase Gore Vidal: "Good PR move."
