I am writing in response to the recent letter that attacked "Dr. Who." I enjoyed the recent "Live Aid" concert and I enjoy "Dr. Who." If you don't like what's on Channel 3, then drop your membership and join Channel 16. We Whovians outnumber you 2,000 to one. We are very loyal fans of "Dr. Who" and he will stay on PBS forever.

"Dr. Who" happens to be one of the best shows on TV. I think so, my family thinks so, and most of my friends think so (and I have a lot of friends). If you don't like "Dr. Who," change the channel. If you don't like anything on, tough luck. Get a VCR and tape "Nova" or "Nature;" and when "Dr. Who" comes on, watch reruns.

I find "Dr. Who" to be a silly, low-budget show that doesn't fit into WEDU's otherwise fine programming. Why do they show it?
