Far down south again, and three centuries ago, the smugglers of Dr Who (BBC-1, Saturdays) offer cunning in the crypt, and such appropriate advice as 'Be not lily-livered now! The gold is not for weaklipgs!' That is the stuff; and I wish I could say as much of the first of four versions of a week-end in John Hopkins's series, Talking to a Stranger (BBC-2, October 2).
