7.30 (3) DR. WHO
An Unearthly Child. First programme in a new B.B.C. science fiction adventure serial about four travellers in time who in their space capsule are able to go back or forward in time and visit other worlds. Starring William Hartnell as Dr. Who; Carole Ann Ford, as Susan Foreman; William Russell as Ian Chesterton and Jacqueline Hill as Barbara Wright. There is something very odd about Susan Foreman, a 15 year old genius. Her teachers, Ian Chesterton and Barbara Wright, are worried because the girl is embarrassingly brilliant in her work, yet seems confused by some of the more everyday things. She is reluctant to speak of her home and the address she gives turns out to be a junkyard (A).
