IN YOUR Dr Who article [January 31] Martin Wainwright stated that when the programme first started enthusiasm was limited until episode five. I feel there was great enthusiasm after only the first episode. I can still remember rushing home after Christmas shopping to catch the second episode and the BBC announcing that because such interest had been aroused by the first they were repeating it—and episode two would follow, which it did. —Susan Gearing, Albany Road, S.E.17.
