[edit]

WHILE I am over the moon that the BBC is to show the "lost" 1970s Dr Who series, The Daemons (27 August), isn't it a pity that it will not restart the series? The BBC wastes millions on Eldorado (audience, three million) but will not make more episodes of Dr Who, which even at its lowest ebb had audiences of four million, and at its peak more than 12 million. There is now a generation of youngsters who have never seen a Dalek and actually say "Dr Who?"
