I am thrilled and inspired that the 13th Doctor Who is a woman. Jodie Whittaker is an amazing actress and I'm sure she will do the role proud.

OMG! She is a lady in a prime-time TV leading role and will be using a sonic screwdriver! First they go to work, then they vote, then they become prime minister and now they fly the Tardis! Terrible! Get back to darning socks. I am being sarcastic. I love it. Whittaker is a great actress and will bring a fresh approach - something the series needs.

Oh dear, Doctor Who just became Doctor What? He's supposed to be a Time Lord. It's not sexist, just literal.
Reg. Essex
I haven't watched Doctor Who for years but will definitely do so now the brilliant Jodie Whittaker is the new Doctor.
I think she'll be absolutely brilliant in the role.
