Mr Brian Hayles, who was one of the scriptwriters for The Archers radio serial and several television series, has died at the age of 47. Hayles was also an author, and among his bocks were two Dr Who novels and a novel about The Archers. His scripts for television included Z Cars, The Regiment and Doomwatch and he had recently completed a children's serial Moon Stallion for the BBC.
