[edit]

FOOTSORE Dr Who fans will be wishing they had the Tardis on hand for their seven mile walk for Cancer Research on Sunday.

The West Midlands "Whonatics" will walk from Walsall's Crest Hotel to The Parade, Sutton Coldfield.

Sponsorship is now at £200 and they will collect from pubs on the walk along the 377 bus route. Group leader Simon Horon said: "We wanted to do a charity event about a year ago, but didn't have enough members."

Now membership has increased from 12 to 50. They hope to raise a total of £500 for local Cancer Research. The walk is part of a nationwide programme of events for Dr Who's 25th anniversary.
