[edit]

DALEKS materialised outside the Houses of Parliament yesterday.

And it was left to lone policeman Paul Cox to safeguard democracy.

But he was quite safe — the robotic exterminators merely wanted to mark the 30th anniversary of Dr Who.

A BBC special, Thirty Years in the Tardis, will be shown on November 28.

It will show highlights from the classic sci-fi series and feature all eight Time Lords — William Hartnell, Jon Pertwee, Patrick Troughton, Tom Baker, Peter Davison, Colin Baker, Sylvester McCoy and Peter Cushing, who appeared in a film version.
