Vintage 'Goon Show' stuff
First Men on the Goon — The Goon Show (EMI Note NTS 170)
A couple of vintage "Goon Shows," the first, dated November 1955, being a tale of gas bill collector Neddy Seagoon trying to make a South American president cough up what he owes: the second, from a year later, is the Spike Milligan — Larry Stephens version of "Robin Hood," with Valentine Dyall and Dennis Price as guest artists.
The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde — Tom Baker (Argo ZDSW 722/3)
The "Doctor Who" star makes a fine job of reading Stevenson's classic tale, still one of the great horror stories, with all its subtle implications. Kenny Clayton provides suitable gothic chords on organ. (Producer, Don Norman.)
