A Dr Who spin-off from the pen of its award-winning writer Russell T Davies, who describes his new creation as "The X-Files meets This Life". Set in the present, it follows a group of investigators who use alien technology to crack crime cases both alien and human, while trying to maintain their everyday lives. Out to protect the planet, the Torchwood team are separate from the Government, and outside the jurisdiction of the police and the United Nations. John Barrowman (right with Eve Myles) plays its leader Captain Jack Harkness while Indira Varma stars as his deputy Suzie Costello. Tonight's opener centres around the resurrection of a murder victim. Be warned, though, as there are some scary sewer creatures and copious amounts of blood and gore.
