[edit]

Little has changed to two new series of established programmes which started on as BBC-1 on Saturday--Dr. Who and It's Cliff Richard. Both obviously rely on the considerable fund of popularity that exists for them, and are probably right not to ring the changes

It is hard to believe that Dr. Who has been keeping children glued to the screen-- not to mention their parents-- since 1963, and although various actors have filled the role of the doctor, the programme has managed to retain a remarkable degree of continutity.

The format combines very successfully the excitement of a self contained story that builds to a climax, wolpert fighting the final cliff hanging touch which insurers and newsy as Dick anticipation of future installments.
