The last adventure of "Dr. Who" (William Hartnell) landed his companions In a time vacuum as prisoners of the fourth dimension. Now owing to a technical fault, and to Dr. Who's lack of skill in operating the space ship Tardis, they come to rest on "the roof of the world," the title of the first episode to-night in "Journey to Cathay."
The year is 1289, and the story begins in the Plain of Pamir, known to those who travel to Cathay as "the roof of the world." As the travellers are forced down, they are threatened by the Mongol War Lord, Tegana, who regards them as evil spirits, and rescued by Marco Polo.
