YES, Dr. Who celebrates his 20th anniversary on the small screen this year! And BBC Enterprises have prepared a gigantic 'Doctor' exhibition to mark the event. It will be held over the Easter weekend on Sunday, 3rd, and Monday, 4th April, at Longleat House in Wiltshire.
All the surviving Doctors and their 24 assistants — 17 girls, 7 boys — have been invited. Bessie, the Dr. Who car, will be there, as will several studio sets from the programme. There'll be plenty of Dr. Who souvenirs on sale, plus an auction of some of the costumes from the series. Also, there'll be visual effects and radiophonic workshop displays; the chance to have yourself made-up by the BBC make-up department to surprise (or shock) your friends, and lots, lots more!
The BBC say there's tremendous interest in the exhibition and they expect thousands to attend from Britain and America, where the programme following has now reached cult proportions. Dr. Who is the longest running science-fiction TV programme in the world. Take our word for it, any Dr. Who fan who can make it to Longleat won't be disappointed! Admission on the day is £4.00 for adults and £2.00 for children and the exhibition is open from 10.00am to 6.00pm.
