I must say how much I enjoyed the recent Christmas Dr Who show — but it certainly showed David Morrissey should not have been considered for the title role.
In the part he played — a sort of Dr Who wannabee — he was very good. But when he was on screen next to David Tennant it was clear who the star was.
He did not have a fraction of the true Doctor's charisma and even though I'm sure the script was written that way, he did not show nearly enough to warrant the permanent role.
Matt Smith, as the next timelord will have a great deal of work to do to even come close to Tennant's fine portrayal.
